The MiMOMax Network Digital Link (NDL) is a family of software flexible, ultra low latency, digital radio links designed for providing mission critical data linking and backhaul type applications.
The NDL product family utilises licensed narrow band radio channels and MiMO technologies in 2x2 and 2x4 configurations to provide industry leading spectral efficiencies of up to 12.8 b/s/Hz or greater enabling raw data rates (including link overhead ) of up to 320kbps.
Utilising licensed spectrum ensures that the link operates in an interference free environment and is capable under right conditions of providing a reliable low-error data transport service (<1×10-7 bit error rate).
For data linking applications the NDL will provide a number of industry standard data interfaces at link end points.
A primary target application is the linking of both digital and analogue radio sites together.
A MiMOMax antenna (or antennas) provides pattern diversity using both vertical and horizontal polarized signals at each end of the link to provide a high performance diverse MiMOMax link over up to 30km with some near line of sight capability and non line of sight over shorter distances.
The addition of a second optional space diversity MiMOMax antenna and receiver, operating in a 2x4 configuration can provide further link robustness in faded environments.
